Party Night in aid of Comic Relief

with taster for Absolute Beginners

    Normally our Tasters for Absolute Beginners are FREE but as this is a charity event we will         charge the usual hourly rate of £6 (advance payment)/ £7.50 and donate it to Comic Relief 

So now there’s no excuse…get all those reluctant boyfriends/ husbands/partners/ people with 2 left feet to come along and have a go all in the name of charity!

UK CUBAN SALSA FESTIVAL

Featuring a live concert by Manolito Simonet Y Su Trabuco

 A Cuban revolution has been taking place in Bournemouth over the last 16 years and we think it is now time that you joined the party!  

Organised by award-winning Salsa promoters, Salsa Explosion, the 3-day UK Cuban Salsa Festival takes place in the stunning Opera House in Bournemouth and features over 70 hours of daytime dance workshops and 3 spectacular, late-night salsa parties and shows with some of the very best Cuban Salsa teachers and performers from both the UK and Europe.  There is even a separate Cross Body Club within the venue for those of you who prefer a Cross Body Lead to a Dile Que No! 

The highlight of the festival is a special live concert by Manolito Simonet y Su Trabuco (20 piece orchestra), considered to be one of the best Cuban Salsa & Timba Bands on the Havana club scene.  A regular fixture on the play list of every salsa club in the world, Manolito Simonet Y Su Trabuco will be flying in for a special one-off concert on Saturday the 28th March – their first concert in the UK for over 2 years.  

We strongly recommend that you see this band live. Manolito Y Su Trabuco is one of those bands that you have to see live to fully appreciate how great they are - one of the tightest and most powerful ensembles on the planet. Cuban music at its very best! Totally unmissable! 

Festival teachers & performers include: Alfredo Torres & Jorget Llieva (Champions of Dutch Salsa Open 2008), Israel Gutierrez, SalsaChé Dance Company, Black Energy Dance Company, Idalberto Alcala, Moe Flex, Rafael Del Busto, Pablo y Diana, Kerry Ribchester, Leandro Charanga, Damarys Farres, Frank Santos, Rosa Perez, Farah Portela and Andrea Stewart & Duende Dance Company. Festival DJs include: Javier La Rosa, Dr Jim, DJ Flecha, DJ Rich, Julian The Duke, DJ Fadi, Mauricio Reyes and Jose Luis. 

Add all of this to 7 miles of glorious sandy beaches and an unlimited supply of Havana Club rum, and the UK Cuban Salsa Festival is the closest that you will get to Cuba in the UK!
