We
teach Casino style Cuban Salsa in East Grinstead and its surrounding areas
spanning the Surrey/Sussex
borders. We also host events such as birthday parties, Weddings including
helping you prepare for your first dance, work events, Christmas parties and
other celebrations.
Salsa
is a sexy, vibrant, social dance that can be enjoyed by everyone, attracting people from all walks of life for many different reasons. It’s a
lovely way to meet people & make new friends whilst learning a new skill.
On top of all that it's
also a great way to get/stay fit without actually feeling that you're
exercising! So if the gym is not your thing but you want to tone up a bit
AND burn off loads of calories (up to 9 calories a minute when you really
get going - how good is that?) then Salsa is the answer! It can even go
as far as toning your facial muscles as you’ll find that you will be smiling
all the time!
SalSalazar (pronounced
Sal-Sala-zar) offers classes,
courses and workshops at all
levels, from absolute beginner to advanced. Its focus is Casino, the Cuban
Salsa including La Rueda.
The aim of SalSalazar is
to provide the highest standard of teaching whilst maintaining the
authenticity of the style.
We do this in a fun and
relaxed atmosphere in which we take you from Absolute Beginner to dancer and
beyond – not just by teaching great combinations but by concentrating on the
fundamentals of Cuban Salsa and fine tuning things so that dancers at all
levels progress with the correct foundations in place. Particular attention
is paid to timing, body movement and musical interpretation; things that
will help place you a cut above the rest!
If
you’re serious about learning Cuban Salsa and want to be able to do more
than just mechanically reproduce or dance one move after another then you’re
in the right place!!
The
Downsides?
Only 2
that we know of:
1.
Salsa is highly addictive. To date no cure has been discovered although
doctors and scientists continue in their search for one!
2.
You
will completely lose the ability to keep still should you hear Salsa music
playing, no matter where you might be!
